Classification Title: Programmer   Working Title: Programmer   Position Number: 700000SD   Salary: $20/per hour   Work Days And Hours: Monday- Friday, 8am - 5pm   FTE: 1.0   Job Posting Date: 10-30-2012   Job Close Date: 01-02-2013   Position Summary: The Software Developer position is responsible to develop and manage custom web applications using C#.NET and SQL Server on a regular basis and build/execute/design/distribute reports, queries and forms as needed. Assist with website modifications, document management, website data/content updates, SSL Certificate management. Maintain content for two separate websites using a CMS-based editor and collaborate with the Communications team as required. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new applications and/or databases. Provide office support in the areas of data, access (security), troubleshooting hardware/software, and general technical support as needed. Assist with the development of custom applications by managing, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, training and answering questions (support). Modify existing databases and management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Interact daily with other university employees engaged in technical development and enhancement of automated systems, including Computer Systems Services, OIT, Registrar's Office, etc. Interact and consult with computer specialists of other universities.   Position Type: Temporary   Eligible Applicants: All (Internal and External)   Index No. (Financial Org): Indicate % If Multiple Indexes.
