Crack Kills...

Everyone has some kind of addiction or secret stash.of something that just drives thrm completely foolish and crazy when they are separated from it. It often is a daily battle that gets harder to overcome with each setback. My addiction is... yeah right... like I'm really going to tell you. I had stumbled into abstinence from my addiction and I been feeling all the better from abstaining. I'm at the age now where I'm not as delusional as I once was concerning my weaknesses. I hate how I feel after I give in... defeated, sad, weak and useless... as if I have been taken advanatage of... I become the women I loathe... the needy, whiny, clingy, insecure little girl I become..

What do i do now...

I am back to day 1... being celibate is NO joke... why does my body ignore what my mind says? I try to keep it intact but... last night was a trip... I had suspicions about E... but I wasn't sure... not completely... married? ...kids? Two yes... an the automatically removed him from my list of possible suitors... despite the voice, the attitude, the mind... the color ...luvs me some extra deep dark chocolate... but... he's helping me get my finances back on track... I appreciate him... like a realy cool older brother... but he wants more... but how can I pursue when he has a complete family without me. Story of my life... I always have been late and caught at th tale end of the a marriage/relationship... I just want my own man... is that so muck to ash

Relying on God

I believe every time we feel frustration, it means we've really stopped relying on God. That might sound like a bold statement to you, but think about it: God's given you and me His Holy Spirit and His grace to help us walk through anything that comes our way. Frustration hits when we stop depending on Him and try to make something happen our own way.

Understanding this really helped me. Every time I became frustrated, I reminded myself that what I was really doing was trying to take the place of the Holy Spirit. I was trying to be Holy Spirit Junior!

Do you struggle with an independent spirit? When you refuse to depend on God, in essence, you're saying, "Okay, God, I appreciate that You're around, but watch me do this." Depending on God for everything may be difficult, but it's the key to the victory we need every single day of our lives.

When God saved us, He didn't help us and then say, "Ok, that's it. You're on your own now!" He's eternally saved us, which means if we depend on Him, He will guide us and help us.

Galations 5:16 urges us to "walk and live habitually in the Holy Spirit...then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh".... Notice that it doesn't say "conquer the flesh independently...then you will certainly not gratify the desires of the flesh." No, it says to live in the Holy Spirit.

Choose to stop living independently, and rely on the Holy Spirit. I promise you won't regret it!

Prayer Starter: God, You are all I need. Help me not to trust in myself, but to put my trust in You and to rely only on You.

You must walk in the Spirit.
I need to use my faith to walk in the Spirit. I am believing God to protect and have intimate relationship with my whole family. I believe God will direct to finish my Phd to influence intellectuals and bring them to Jesus. I believe God to bless me with a house to protect and provide for V and Me and to encourage young ladies to reach their full potential without compromise. I believe God will Keep, Lead, Guide and Bless Brenda, auntie ann and cynthia, my sister and mom and dad and my entire family known and unknown.
