credit woes...

currently at 541... need to get to 600

Credit Repair in No Time… uh-huh…

·         Lena explained that paying off the debts, while nice, isn't necessarily the only path to bringing up my credit score.

o    more emphasis on recent history:

§  keeping the balances of your revolving accounts low

·         prefer that you have a balance below 30% of your limit

·         some kudos for getting them below 50%

§  paying your bills on time

§  having some account history

·         creditboards.com

o    discussion forum with more information than you could ever want for any situation, plus a lot of experts who have "been there and done that," who will answer your questions and give advice. I highly recommend it!

·         go through your credit report and dispute any items that are questionable or reported incorrectly.

o    write to the credit reporting agencies

o    ask them to remove the item or make the necessary correction

o    If they claim that the information is correct

§  write to the creditor to ask them to report the correct information

o    Creditboards.com also suggests writing to your creditors to ask for a "goodwill adjustment" and remove late payment notations from your credit report

·         Getting our balances down was the single largest contributor to our increased credit score,

o    we did manage to get both of our scores past the 600 mark

§  Every month that we kept them that way, we gained an extra couple of points

§  will continue to do so as long as we keep them down and pay our bills on time

·         Getting a late payment

·         opening a new account

·         maxing out a card will set us way back

·         When you've done this for about six months, talk to a couple of mortgage brokers and see if there is something they can do for you. Good Luck!

Here's where i got the advice... click the word here... =)

I cannot listen to music while i work... OK... more like concentrate...

i just learned today, while in the computer lab, that I CANNOT listen to music of any kind and focus,  consciously, at my highest level of concentration... amazing huh? i see folk with headphones ALL THE TIME!!! Oh, well... you have to know yourself and know what will and won't work for you and when. (you know when to be a sheep and when to be Moses)

grrrrrrrr.....

Dear God,

You know what... sometimes I feel like I am in the world by myself... no friends, no love, no social life (¿Dónde está mi novio, mi esposo, mi amor?), no pet, no fun...

I hate feeling like this... so I gotta pray and ask God to show me what to do... the funny thing is that I still ain’t sure where to look, but this does NOT shake my faith that God is there for me and I just need to be there for Him more... I cry... hard... but I'm not dead and I don’t plan on giving up anytime soon... or EVER!!

I was real close to my dream life and now... that I think back to those times… I want it back... I had a cute little apartment, a dog and my daughter... I don’t want to give up my dreams of owning a home... I just hate thinking that I won’t get one until I’m 60 years old!!

I am so scared of getting a job or even applying for jobs... I don’t think the employer will want me because I’m black and a woman and just not "slick" enough with my words... I need help... not the help that I have received from men and a few woman where they help me and I owe them my loyalty allegiance and life.

Why must credit be repaired so SLOWLY... the only way to truly fix it is to get a MUCH better paying job... but when I get it... will I HATE it???

Lord Jesus... have mercy on me, your little sister... Lord God have mercy on me... your daughter... help me find strength and determination and a path... or some kind of beacon signals...Help please    …cuz I KNOW only a miracle will do… is this that stuff that I learned about at church and those camp meetings? Where God allows situations to show HIS power and GLORY to those around me… so that they KNOW God did it??

Sincerely,

ShaTina =)

Good morning... Another one!!

I had a semi epiphany... I want to have a pet or two and a washer and dryer in my house... Those are my next living requirements. My li'l life upgrades.

Meditate on this... Philippians 3

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]. I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

Doctors Appointment Today

The average car payment in America today is around $400 per month...

...I want a payment of ≈$250 per month

1.       save that $250 for four ≈$1,000 saved up toward a car
2.       Now, drive this car for one year
a.        during which time you spend another $1,000 in car repairs
b.       continue to save up that $250 per month.

3.       After driving the 'crap car' for one year
a.       you have saved up $3,000 in cash,
b.      spent $1,000 of it in car repairs
c.       have a car worth $800.
d.      THE RESULT: $3,000 - $1,000 + $800 = $2,800.
e.      NOW you already have $2,800 to put toward your next car!

4.       So, now you go out and buy yourself a $2,800 used car.
a.       drive it for one year
b.      continue to save up your $250 per month

5.       After that year
a.       $3,000 saved up
b.      $800 in car repairs
c.       Car worth $2,300
d.      THE RESULTS: $3,000 - $800 + $2,300 = $4,500.
e.      Now you can go out and pay cash for a $4,500 car.

6.       A $4,500 car is quite a step up from the 'crap car' we started with. Since this is a bit nicer car, let's drive this one for two years instead of one.
a.       After those two years
b.      Saved up $6,000
c.       spent $1,400 in car repairs
d.      sell the car for $3,000
e.      THE RESULT: $6,000 - $1,400 + $3,000 = $7,600!
f.        You go out and buy a pretty nice, used, $7,600 car and drive it for three years.

7.       In those three years, you've saved up $9,000 had $2,000 in car repairs, and sell the car for $5,000. $9,000 - $2,000 + $5,000 = $12,000!
